First time getting to see Extreme. When "Rise" was released this past March, it
intrigued me so much to the point of "SIX" becoming one of my most anticipated
albums of 2023. With every single released, I was fully on board. The album
finally released and I loved every track. I decided to make plans to see them
at the nearest date (which was over a 3 hour drive on a Monday), but made it
happen. The show was outstanding. Living Colour was honestly one of the best
openers I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. Extreme came out and killed for
nearly 2 hours. They played everything I wanted to hear except the curious
omission of the new track - "#Rebel", which appeared to be switched out for
"Warheads", making it's tour debut in Detroit. Not getting to hear "#Rebel",
just means I'll need to see them again to remedy it! It was an early favorite
of the pre released "SIX" singles. By the way, everything you read or hear about
Nuno Bettencourt is true - what an extraordinary talent. Turn this one up!
Living Colour opened. [recorded].
