Before the MUST HAVE Rhino box set was released there was a mind blowing radio broadcast of the festival. A shame that the Simon and Garfunkel set was not included in that official box set. Now you can drop this missing piece into the box and have a little something extra that should have been there anyhow.

Bonus material is sourced from video tapes of the E-TV channel broadcasts of the Smothers Brothers TV shows.
Includes the 4 musical segments during the "Billy The Kid" skit.
The Dick Cavett show is from a VH-1 broadcast and is very groovy, you dig man.

(009942) Frank Zappa - 1967 Money Demos CD 1967 +bonus 71.25 (Pittylabelle).FLAC

There are two reasons why I seed this here:

For one thing - because this boot was seeded INCOMPLETE, without the bonus
stuff, here before by trickydicky.

1967 - We're Only In It For The Money Demo Acetate (trickydicky) - reseed
http://www.zappateers.com/bb/viewtopic.php?t=1423

For another thing - maybe you find some undiscovered stuff for discussion.

So, have fun, enjoy ...

Jimi and Eric both did a line and just started talking.

It is hard to understand due to their drug induced state

and because of the poor audio quality. They talk about how they feel

about their success, relationships, and social issues.

(008603) Pink Floyd 1967-01-27 UFO Club, London, England (Escapist Restoration) (FLAC)

Pink Floyd27 January 1967
UFO Club, 31 Tottenham Court Road, London, England (Escapist Restoration)

1. Matilda Mother
2. Interstellar Overdrive

Lineage: Archive master U-matic video > single channel line connection to Sony Professional Walkman WM-D6C (Dolby off) > Maxell XLII-S cassette > Technics RS-B965-M > Focusrite Saffire Pro 14 > Audacity 2.0.3 > FLAC (24bit/96kHZ) > WAV (24bit/96kHZ) > Izotope RX3 Advanced + Capstan > Ableton Live 8 > WAV (24bit/96kHZ) > FLAC (24bit/96kHZ)

I decided to compile and edit together the UFO songs from Neonknight's upload of the Granada Underground Scene Special. Thanks to Neonknight for the original upload and feedback!

Notes:

- People may notice that I have made a very different edit to the Harvested team. The edit made for HRV What Syd Wants places the piece of music at the very end of the Granada tape with Interstellar Overdrive, I decided it belongs to Matilda Mother. When I fixed the weird tape speed up at the end (presumably placed for psychedelic effect by the Granada producers!) you can Syd going back into the chorus of Matilda Mother just as it fades.

- I applied some careful EQing to the mid-range because I wanted to make it sound less murky and bring out the vocals a little bit more

- I applied a lowpass filter to reduce most audio content above 15k - it was basically hiss. I still upload these as 24bit/96kHZ - start as you mean to go on!

- Very very very minor NR was also applied to really tone down the remaining hiss - careful attention was paid to the 'removed hiss' to ensure no musical content was harmed. There are no audio artefacts I can hear.

(008032) Frank Sinatra & Antonio Carlos Jobim - 1967-xx-xx - Sinatra/Jobim & The World We Knew Sessions (STU/FLAC)

Frank Sinatra
1967 Sessions
Francis Albert Sinatra &
Antonio Carlos Jobim
The World We Knew
February 1 and July 24, 1967

Arrangers:
Claus Ogerman(1-3)
Ernie Freeman (4-7)
H. B. Barnum (8-11)
Billy Strange (12-13)
More unreleased session excerpts, this time for the Reprise albums
FRANCIS ALBERT SINATRA/ANTONIO CARLOS JOBIM & THE WORLD
WE KNEW ("Drinking Again" was recorded during the JOBIM sessions
but released on the latter album).

I compiled this disc from two different trade CDs, each one of which
combined an assortment of Reprise sessions in rather haphazard
fashion. By coupling the Jobim and WORLD WE KNEW material, we
get a collection of all the unreleased 1967 studio material I'm aware of.
The sound quality is excellent.

Upped by Dave (dreitzes)

1. Once I Loved (O Amor En Paz) (takes 1-9, incomplete and alternate takes)
[February 1]
2. How Insensitive (Insensatez) (takes 1-6, incomplete and alternate takes)
[February 1]
3. Drinking Again (takes 1-5) [February 1]
4. Don't Sleep in the Subway (studio banter) [July 24]
5. Don't Sleep in the Subway (take 1 - alternate take) [July 24]
6. Don't Sleep in the Subway (take 2 - alternate take) [July 24]
7. Don't Sleep in the Subway (take 3 - false start) [July 24]
8. Some Enchanted Evening (studio banter) [July 24]
9. Some Enchanted Evening (take 1 - alternate take) [July 24]
10. Some Enchanted Evening (take 2 - alternate take) [July 24]
