(009762) BOB MARLEY - 1977-06-xx Morning Train Rehearsal, London, UK [SBD]

Bob Marley & The Wailers1977-06-xx
Morning Train Rehearsal
Island Studios
Basing Street
London, England

lineage:SBD>3rd gen 90min Maxell XLII>kenwood 1050ct>Xitel Inport(usb)>wav>Flac8>align onn sector bounderies via trader's little helper

1. Burnin And Lootin
2. I Shot The Sheriff
3. Morning Train Jam > The Heathen
4. So Much Things To Say
5. Jammin

This rehearsal took place sometime during the week before the four evenings at the Rainbow. - Nice scatting during "Burnin' And Lootin".
First two minutes of "I Shot The Sheriff" are instrumental.
Track 3 starts with a jam known as the "Morning Train Jam" and goes into "The Heathen" which sounds like an instrumental (heavy bass), but way down in the mix you can hear some singing.
Same muffled sound during "So Much Things To Say" and the final track "Jammin".

(009761) BOB MARLEY - 1976-xx-xx Yvette Acoustic Tape

Bob Marley
The Yvette Acoustic Tape 1976

original tape > ? > shn > tlh > flac

01 - Are You Ready?

02 - When I Get To You

03 - God of All Ages

04 - Rumors

05 - They Set You Up My Son

06 - Jammin

07 - Easy Skankin

08 - Oh What A Day

Recorded in one of Bob's girlfriend's houses this tape includes many songs that Bob never
released and some that would become some of his most famous classics. The mood is really relaxed
and Bob seems to be in a really great mood often laughing out loud at some of the things he is
singing. He then gets a bit more serious with the deeply religious God of All Ages where he is
accompanied by the heartbeat rhythm of a bongo drum. Rumors is also another great highlight
featuring some fantastic vocal form. Bob on this tape also composes some of jammin as well as a
very early rendition of Easy Skanking. He also chats a bit between songs about opening a hospital
in Ethiopia. The tape closes out with Oh What a Day, which is a long very early version of what
would become Misty Morning.

(009673) BOB MARLEY & THE WAILERS - KINGSTON DUB (revision B)

BOB MARLEY & THE WAILERS - KINGSTON DUB (revision B)
Kingston dub is a collection of dubs, versions and instrumentals that were released on the Tuff Gong label in
Jamaica, on 7inch & 12inch single b-sides between 1972 and 1983. Bob was reluctant to release a Dub album
because he felt it would be a distraction from the message and lyrics in his music. Fortunately versions and
dubs were used on the b-sides of the group’s singles especially in Jamaica and with many being unavailable
on cd this collection is being posted until they see an official release.

The source used was mainly Kazo's black vinyl series 3-01 to 4-01, thanks to him for making and sharing the
efforts of his work to the public.

Originally compiled and uploaded in February 2011, this revision includes a few upgrades such as I Know
version and Dub In Trenchtown. Revision B also has new artwork and is aimed at newer members of Marley &
Tosh torrents of which I am sure there will be many as a result of the Marley documentary. J2B (May 2012)

(009664) BOB MARLEY - 1980-xx-xx Pomps and Pride Demos

Bob Marley - Pomps and Pride Demos #400412

what you are about to find here has been (to the best of my knowledge) available to only
a few people until it was finally "liberated" over at M&T for Mr. Marley's birthday

I've had my copy for little while longer so for those who finished their download at
M & T and would like to join seeding here I'm not sure if this will work - my version
does NOT come from there...it is extremely likely that they come from the same source
and might have the same track lengths (I haven't compared them yet); however, the check files might not match

anyway, these five songs have been circulating as the "Pomps and Pride Demos"

01 Pomps and Pride
02 Russian Invasion - Take 1
02 Russian Invasion - Take 2
04 Slogans - Take 1
05 Slogans - Take 2

400412

"Pomps and Pride" and "Russian Invasion" have yet to see any official publishing

there is some speculation as to when this stuff was recorded...Stephen Davis writes in his marley biography that Bob was

preoccupied with "Slogans" while in London during the summer of the 1980 Uprising Tour...others believe that while he might
have worked on the song he did not start recording early versions until later that same year (September, Essex House, NYC)

to sum it up I guess the general consensus at this point is that this material was recorded between 1979 and 1980.

Possibly recorded at Essex House, NYC, NY in September 1980.

another gem i received long ago from chunga1. it's an upgrade for the other circulating source, both in quality and duration. again all i had to do was to add an info file.

this is the same source i used for the Kilimanjaro Tapes data DVD.

Bob Marley and the Wailers - The Prophet Rides Again - Top Rankin' Live Selections by Dubwise Garage
This is a compliation of tracks from some of the best sounding shows. I put this together for a head at Tuff Gong International and Cedella Marley.
The family is very supportive and cool to collectors and archivists, check BobMarley.com's new tour guide section to see how they imbraces us.
I tried to use mainly soundboard recordings but there are a few audience ones. Plus the last 6 tracks on CD3 were added do to their rarity
being played live. There are a few other rarly performed live tracks like Three Little Birds that were not included do to being almost unlistenable.
Originally I selected some different tracks from semi official tracks like Zimbabwe from the Zimbabwe show but removed and replaced them with
DIME appropriate tracks. You can check my podcast on mixcloud for those original versions.

All tracks taken from lossless FLAC sources on my HD's or direct lossless transfers from my tapes.

Ask BobMarley.com: Santana
By Jack Low / BobMarley.com

Santana himself is an avid music collector, who is said to have a vault of music for all his favorite artists. In the tape trader community, there is a tape called the "Bob Marley Santana Tape," which is full of rare 7-inch and b-side singles of Bob and the Wailers.
Bob Marley - 1975 - Bob Marley - Santana Secret Tape (1975-1980)

Despite a mutual respect for one another's music, Bob and Santana never recorded together
Q: "Is it true that Bob Marley and Santana did some recordings together in 1979? If so what happened to those tapes?"
-Ben Kramer

It's true that Bob Marley and Mexican guitarist Carlos Santana were fans of one another's music. The artists often played many of the same venues in the process of demanding tour circuits on which they aimed to grow their audiences in Europe and the United States during the 1970s and the early 1980s. The first documented example of Bob's interest in the guitarist's powerful brand of rock is a 1973 home movie where Bob and other members of the Wailers are hanging out at a waterfall in Jamaica, listening to Santana's music.

Although Santana and Bob never embarked on a recording session in the studio together, Bob once came close to recording a live number with Santana and his band. In the summer of 1980, during the European leg of Bob's Uprising tour, the pair met up in Germany because of coinciding schedules. Bob was to play at Dortmund, Germany Friday the June 13th. The day before, Santana was in town to play at the same club. It was one of the only days off for Bob and the band during the tour, which carried them all over Europe.

Bob attended the Santana show with the rest of the Wailers. It was sold out, and Bob and the Wailers where backstage watching the show. Santana offered Bob Marley and the Wailers to perform with his band onstage during the third and final encore. Al Anderson and Tyrone Downie of he Wailers took Santana up on his offer and came on stage and played with Santana on his classic tune "Evil Ways," from Santana's eponymous 1969 debut album. Because Bob did not join his bandmates onstage that night, today there is no recording of the two greats playing together.

Santana himself is an avid music collector, who is said to have a vault of music for all his favorite artists. In the tape trader community, there is a tape called the "Bob Marley Santana Tape," which is full of rare 7-inch and b-side singles of Bob and the Wailers. Ben, we hope this answers your question. Thanks for asking Bob Marley.com.
