Source Info:
FM Broadcast; Unknown Analog Master > 2 cassette generations > PCM

Transfer Info:
PCM (Sony SL-10)> Sony PCM-601ESD > Behringer Ultramatch Pro > Tascam DA-3000 (wav 16-bit/44.1k)> Adobe Audition 3.0 > TLH flac16

Notes:
- Thanks to Tim Dalton for the source PCM
- Thanks to Charlie Miller for the transfer
- Thanks to m.allen for his critical listening assistance
- It's my understanding that only the 2nd Set resides in the vault, making the shnid6255 MSR>RR lineage dubious, at best. Additionally, Rob Eaton lists "Set #2 Reel M->Cass 1" and it is not believed to be in the wild (2/2018)
- Do not let the lineage deter you, this is an upgrade to what circulates
- Very slight crackle at the begining of "Sugaree"
- Tape flip at the beginning of "Black Peter" smoothed
- Intermittent, slight buzz for 0:25 or so in "Sugar Magnolia", also present on shnid6255
- Sunshine Daydream clipped
- Beginning of "Mexicali Blues" clipped (smoothed)
- Tape flip in "Deal" smoothed
- Tape flip in the "Turn On Your Lovelight > Going Down The Road Feeling Bad " transition smoothed

Los Lobos - 1984-01-14 - Santa Barbara, CA(Soundboard FLAC)

Dan Gale's note are: "(The) exact source of this recording is unknown. According to Ric Ovalle, this show was professionally recorded in a mobile recording truck parked outside the venue. Ric provided me with the cassette copy used for this transfer but the exact lineage of this cassette is unknown."

Two of the tracks were commercially released by the band and have been deleted. That turns what was 2 CD-Rs long into a show that fits one CD-R. I have generated a new md5 file for the remaining tracks. And, no, I won't stash the two commercial tracks in on line storage somewhere for you to surreptitiously download.

notes from the seed (Matt P.):

I remastered the *hell* out of this one (using WaveLab, mainly to
minimize hiss). It's pretty nice, I grade it an A-, though I'm
sure some might give a B+. It's not as pristine as the Houston show
(incomplete, because songs that were played were not broadcasted),
but it's the best "full show" snapshot of the Big Generator tour
I've heard. There is one flaw that bugs me, you can hear something
else in the background in a couple places, like someone used an old
tape and you can hear what was taped over.

=====================================

Today I'm offering a new Master tape that's never been circulated until now.

Transferred and Flac'd for the first time anywhere.

The second night at Jones Beach is better sound quality than the previous nights recording.

This recording is well balanced with no songs cut.

If you downloaded my other 8/12 torrent, than you'll definitely want this one as well.

There was quite an impressive list of musicians in Ringo's band for this tour.
