I was a huge fan of this 1990 album, though i never did see the tour.

Many many years ago back 1994, I was reading through the back of a Goldmine magazine.

I saw an ad from a professional photographer that was selling photos from this Robert Plant concert.

I decided to order 20 prints for $48. I was thrilled to have these.

I've decided to share these with everyone. These 20 pictures are included in a separate folder.

This video was shot from the floor, hand-held and shaky.

This is kind of hard to watch, but the sound quality is decent.

Robert plays guitar during "Anniversary".

This has chapters every 3 minutes.

Thanks to Mr. Estrada for doing the transfer.

On a side note, the photographer also recorded the show on a cassette walkman.

I also have this recording and plan on sharing it sometime in the future.

here's some work for you to do!!!

I never was into Bert Jansch at all, but I grabbed me a ticket as I thought: hey, it's Robert Plant in the line-up, so: why not.

I have no idea who was on stage the whole evening through, but I'm sure someone can help me out with all the infos you need about this evening.

I came a minute too late into the hall when the beginning was just announced, but I was not prepared for that quick start,

so I first had to find my place, grab the equipment, start recording with the included mics, search my extern mics and put them on their usual place,

so there's some crappy noises at the first few minutes, but then it starts to get much better. The level in the first part of this event was a bit too high

but it still sounds great. Then in the second part I reduced the level a bit too much.

I would say: this was "not my evening" in recording.

The sound in the hall was superb, the host was really funny, the music was ...hmmm.... folky, jazzy and so on.

I put the splits between the songs and also between some talking as I thought it could be right, but forgive me all the faults about this (recording-)evening

But as a bonus you get a special gimmick: the sound of the lift in that hall - listen to it, it's somehow funny!!

I received this DAT unlabeled. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this was Page & Plant - Paris 1998 broadcast.

The only flaw in this recording were digital dropouts at the beginning of "Whole Lotta Love", for the length of 2:16.

I transferred "Whole Lotta Love" twice, hoping to get a cleaner pass the second time, but the dropouts were in the exact same place both times.

They're on the tape that way and both channels were affected.

So.. I decided to use an alternate source from KRW_CO to replace the defective portion.

The patch was used at exactly 0:12.678 to 2:28.032. during track 17 Whole Lotta Love.

The sound is very different, but makes it complete. Listen to Jimmy's guitar volume and tone after the patch.

Jimmy's sound is louder and more upfront, with a deeper tone.

I was quite surprised at how good this FM broadcast sounded. IMO: it's the best version I've heard so far.

I'd like to Thank Wes for supplying the DAT.

I've provided Mp3 samples below, which include the Whole Lotta Love patch, so you can hear the difference.
