Analog Cassette> DAT > Sony TCD-D7 > Audigy 2 Platinum > CDWAV > FLAC 8

The tape was purchased by a friend of mine at a record show shortly after the

concert and could be 1 generation from the master. Sadly, it is incomplete, cutting

at the end of Countdown. I feel this source is much better than the complete version

of the show that is circulating, which is from a different source.

Remastered by Duley - Recording ran a bit too fast. I reduced the

speed by 2.3%. I also added a bit of EQ, not much, to the low end

and high end. No noise reduction was used. Recut on sector

boundaries and converted back to flac.

(010182)Rush - 1980-02-02 - Fort Worth, TX - Timeless Wavelength - Hogweed'22

Rush2 February 1980
Tarrant County Convention Center, Fort Worth, Texas

Contrast clause:
This is a remaster based on the ‘Timeless Wavelength’ release from Digital Reproductions, currently available here:

Lineage: Master cassette > Hifi VHS > DAT > CDR
It is an exceptional audience capture of the complete concert in close to master lineage, however I felt the eq on this release was so harsh that it required rebalancing to make it an enjoyable listen. In the process, a few other adjustments made:

• Azimuth adjusted to centralise stereo field (-12 samples, R Ch)
• Eq balance (reduced very prominent ‘presence’ band, plus numerous smaller adjustments, which included bass to balance overall volume levels in each channel)
• Removed 30Hz hum
• Removed a few clicks where I came across them.
• Edits/fades left as originally made.
• Pitch checked, correct to within 10 cents.
• Master levels to -6dB
• Retrack > Export to flac

A quick Hogweed remaster, May 2022.

NOTES:

Great show, sound and all. Once again, me and my brother Jim trekked to Baltimore
to check out the band in this wonderfully small, newly "renamed to the old name",
Baltimore Arena. Love this place for shows, nice and low roof, sound is incredible
on floor. The band was in good form and the crowd was great. They played my favorite of
all the sets they have been playing this tour, so that made it even
 better. Met up with
some great friends for a nice relaxing looooong meal, which had us boogie-ing
to the venue afterward. Never fear, haven't missed the opening of any show yet!!
No new Rush tour for at least another year (but maybe we get a vault show on CD??).
Major bummer. But I can't blame them, although age is gonna be a factor shortly...
Enjoy and Rock on. More to come of the 2013 tour. This is probably my favorite of the
shows I taped in 2013.

There are no fades in the tracks so burn the way you want.

Repost, have fun, just keep info and file set intact. No MODS/Matrixes please.
MP3 for personal use only please.

From the Grace under Pressure tour, this recording was captured from the soundboard on a later date in the tour's American leg. It consists of one CD. The audio quality is top-notch. Some have remarked that Lee's voice on this date was a bit strained - due to the length of the tour. But, this criticism is an exaggeration. Cover artwork has been provided.

Many Thanks To JEMS

The great Stan Gutoski. R.I.P.

Stan recorded hundreds of shows in and around the Seattle area starting in 1972 and kept taping for over five decades.
He was famous for recording shows on a Tandberg full-track mono reel to reel, and his masters of Led Zeppelin,
Bruce Springsteen, The Who, David Bowie, CSNY, and Joni Mitchell are some of the best '70s recordings of those artists.

What is less widely known about Stan is that he was equally committed to recording radio broadcasts on his home reel to reel which was a Revox B77.
If any local Seattle station was broadcasting a live concert or carrying a syndicated concert series, Stan fired up the recorder,
sometimes going to sleep with an alarm to wake him up to flip the tape (his job in the postal service required him to report to work very early).
He also set up a timer system to record broadcasts when he couldn't be there to start the deck.

Stan made over 200 radio recordings, some on 10" reels that are packed with music and interviews.
Those reels were sitting idle in the JEMS Archive for years until our friends at KRW_CO volunteered to transfer them.
We were only too happy to let a team whose work we admire take possession of the radio reels and bring Stan's tireless late-night efforts into the digital age.

BK for JEMS

This is one of those shows that makes you glad to be a Rush collector, and
proves that even after nearly 30 years, there are still gems to be unearthed out
there. This show came to me in March of 2005. Of course, it’s one thing to
discover a new AFTK show, still another to find one from so early in the tour,
and yet another to find out that it has the best sound of any show from the
tour.

To really cap things off, this show has a unique feel to it. The band seems to
be in a really upbeat mood tonight, which translates to a loose performance with
a lot of joking around by Geddy. The sound is exceptionally clear for a 1977
audience recording. As a matter of fact, why even qualify that last statement?
This recording easily holds it’s own with some of the better audience recordings
of nearly ANY era.

This was reported to me as sourced from a 1st gen tape.

As with the other volumes of these releases, the goal is 100% preservation.
This means that I have done nothing to alter the sound of this recording, and
I'm passing it on exactly as it came to me. With that in mind, I don’t care
where you torrent it or what you do with it. (Anyone who cares enough whether
they have a lossless copy is going to be smart enough to be able to figure out
whether they have a lossless copy).

Special thanks as always to Dan Eckert for the artwork.
