Packed house for Foo Fighters. Just under 30,000. But I somehow found a spot which seemed...decent? Lots of folks just there to listen to the music. Still some chatter, but nothing like what I experienced with Weezer.
Show notes:
I went into this show not knowing what to expect. I typically avoid setlists/reviews of shows I'm going to go to so I had no idea if this was going to be a Taylor Hawkins lovefest or a straight forward Foo Fighters show.
I guess it was 80% straight forward and 20% retrospective. It wasn't until the end of the set that they mentioned Dave's mom and Taylor passing away.
I have to admit that I kind of liked their tight two hour set compared to the last time I saw them with their three hour full out rock spectacle. There was a really great mix of most albums and the band was on fire and the crowd was giving it back in equal portions.
Might be my favourite show of them so far!
