Comments:
The recording of the second night turned out very similar to the one from the night before, though I was seated much closer to the stage. A bit boomey, but I'd still give it an A/A-.
The second night's set was similar to the first night as well, although the order of the songs was shuffled around. She dropped "Grateful" from the first night, but added a recitation of "Autumn Song" (a Paul Verlaine poem), followed by "Wild Leaves". In the middle of the show, she surprised everyone with her cover of "Work", originally by Charlotte Day Wilson. It was Patti's first live performance of the song.
All in all, another excellent performance by Patti and her band!

On the final night of her three concerts at the Pierre Boulez Saal, Patti seemed energized, she moved around a lot more than before. It seemed the day off between the second and third concert had done her well.
Again, she opened with "Peaceable Kingdom", her song about the struggle in the middle east. The songs she had added on the second night were performed again - "Wild Leaves" and "Work". In the course of the concert, I actually wondered whether she would play all the same songs from the second night. The surprises came later. During Patti's "bathroom break", Tony Shanahan and the band played "The Wind Cries Mary" instead of "Fire". Then, after "After The Gold Rush" Patti talked to Tony, who then informed Seb as Patti went and talked to Jackson. Right then, I knew Patti had decided to stray from the planned setlist. At this point during the first night, she had done the same thing, playing "Grateful" instead of "Pissing In A River" because of trouble with her voice. "We'll play it another night", she had said then. "Pissing" being my favorite song of hers, I had hoped she would stick to her promise. Then, when the first notes of "Pissing" were played by Tony, it seemed to me she had remembered that promise. With her voice in full control, she performed an incredible version. Another surprise was the encore. Previously, she had played "People Have The Power" as the encore and I fully expected she would do it again this time. But no, once again departing from the written setlist, "Gloria" was performed.
Some of her comments or intros to songs from this night are notable as well. As on the second night, “Ghost Dance” was dedicated to indigenous people, who, in Patti’s words “should always have a voice, even in the center of parliament.” A clear comment on the failed referendum in Australia. As usual, "My Blakean Year" was dedicated to the worker. This time to doctors especially, since three of the band/crew had taken ill in Berlin on three different days and went to see three different doctors who were all in attendance that night.
"Beneath The Southern Cross" was again introduced as a song of remembrance and of life. This time, Patti also dedicated it to all the people who are “now in a state of limbo. Feeling part alive and part dead, being displaced from their homes, sent on a walk through a world that is no longer theirs.” With the current situation in Israel and Gaza, it was easy to guess whom she was referring to. Departing from the established lyrics of "All Along The Watchtower", she ended the song with: "And the wind cried… How? How? How?"
