Mikaila was a singer, actress, being signed in 1996 to Union Records and released her debut gospel album.
In 1997 was cast as Melina Finch during Season 2 of the TV show Wishbone.
In 2000, at the age of 13 Mikaila left Union Records and was signed to Island Records.
Due to the over saturation of teen pop in the music market, and Mikaila's mixed charting results, her finale single, "It's All Up to You"
was released. "It's All Up to You" did not chart, and Mikaila retired from the acting and music industry shortly after in 2002.
