Sound turned out quite nicely. I had great seats, about 10 feet back, but people were allowed to move around (outdoor venue), so I ended up getting front row to the far left. All concert pictures included with this recording were taken with a Samsung Galaxy S5 at 16 Megapixels.

Recording 'Proof' Comments:

Ian Gillan never references the state, city or venue during the concert.

As I work my way through TapeTyrant's Master tapes for the crazy good "TapeTyrant Master Series" one thing has become clear. Not only does he have outstanding master archives, he also has a very impressive archive of uncirculated 1st gens and soundboards.

Looking for the best way to present those since they can't be part of the master series but critical to get out none the less, we landed on a TapeTyrant second series to be known by the creative title the "TapeTyrant Archive Series". This series will feature uncirculated Soundboards, low gen (mostly 1st) uncirculated audience captures and upgrades.

Our 6th release is another excellent, 1st generation, copy of UB40's 1986 tour stop at Pier 84 supporting "Rat In The Kitchen".

The New York crowd is treated to a couple of guests, first up Chrissie Hynde duets on "I Got You Babe" and then Pato Banton is featured on his song "Gwarn (Go On)" from his 1985 release "Mad Professor Captures Pato Banton".

Once again this one appears uncirculated (or at least under-circulated) and is night two of back to back shows at Pier 84.

As with the previous editions, Goody once again gets us moving in the right direction at the right speed.

And of course we owe TapeTyrant a great debt of gratitude for allowing me the honor of mastering and sharing his stellar work with all of us in what I hope are the definitive editions of his archives.

Get into those closets, basements and attics and let's get those uncirculated captures and upgrades out!

21 Kung fu girls - further encore from a later rebroadcast

Very clear sound quality here - listening at first there seems to be a lot of reverb, and the performance takes a while to warm up but a few tracks in and it's plain sailing.

It all ran slightly too slow: on comparing with other gigs, this was sped up by 1.5pc for the most part. The gain was also raised - to well within the headroom limits - as the volume levels were way too low. I felt it would benefit from more treble (no, I do not have that view on every live recording, there are plenty I find where more bass / less trbele is what's needed) - however as before, I have followed the TTD preferred line of avoiding EQ-ing, and kept this as a straight un eq'd version. An eq'd version has been placed elsewhere (begins with Z, again).

I hope you enjoy this, I have. Please help on my request below, if you can.

Original notes below, and for those who need such things, the original text file is included, untouched.

WANTED -

A copy of the BBC FM broadcast of Blondie at the London Lyceum 22 Nov 1998

I so far received a mono FM version - keen to get a stereo FM version, my understanding it was broadcast on radio at the time, and there was a later re-broadcast too.

-------------- original notes below --------------

I accidently found some audio masters & low gen copies in a box stashed away on the attic.

A lot of them never circulated or have been long out of circulation as i stopped in 1995/1996.

Amongst them Bel Canto, Carmel, Cocteau Twins, Cranes, Blondie, Slowdive, Siouxsie etc

I'll be uploading them all, just so they go back in circulation again.

All audience masters were made with a Sony WMD-3 with default mic attached to my cap/hat

This way i top over the crowd & will have the best clear quality possible

Also included are some VPRO sessions, and some other radiobroadcasts.

I will keep track of the uploads & post a list of previous recordings.

This way you shouldn't miss any of them.

I have an impeccable ratio, so i won't seed too long. So a great opportunity for some to

gain ratio on em. Keep em shared as long as possible. Enjoy!

Number 8 is a real oldie but a freakin' excellent show by Debbie Harry & Co....Blondie!

An excellent radio transmission made by a friend of mine, from a full hour VPRO radio.

It's unsure if this is the complete show, it is the complete broadcast.

All i know is they go for it 101%, considering the energy of the recording and sweaty debbie pics

Additional comments
Unique recording of the complete Bilbao soundcheck at the Bullring. Very interesting to hear the soundchecks of Speedway at Nazareth, Junkie doll, Who's your baby now and Romeo and Juliet. The sound is OK. I have three parts of this soundcheck in better sound quality and I added them on this disc as bonus tracks. These bonus tracks feature the full version of Speedway at Nazareth, Romeo and Juliet and two minutes of Romeo and Juliet sounds of Mark's national which is really great to hear. Additional comments
Pretty nice audience recording, one of the best so far from Spain. It's obviously very hard to make a good recording is Spain as the audience is really going crazy during the concerts. Anyway, this is a better recording, recorded with Mini Disc.
