Okay, that's the technical jazz. This is a NEW digitization being posted for the first time as of July 2021. This is a complete presentation of the 3 LP Westwood One set, including the commercials and promo tracks.
The Miller Lite commercials have pop cultural heft, and are packed with celebrities of the early 1990s: John Madden, Vince McMahon, Bob Ueker, Jesse "The Body" Ventura, "Mean" Gene Okerlund, and a William F. Buckley impersonator. Mr. Ventura went on to be the governor of Minnesota.
In an unusual move, California farmers thought the rock audience would buy fresh fruit. Nestle thought we wanted white chocolate, not dark chocolate.
Our ol' pal, Steve Downes (the voice of Master Chief from HALO, to the young-uns in our Beloved Audience...) handles the announcing chores.
The music? Oh, yeah....the music. It's a great show, and I spent HOURS combing through it, trying to eliminate all the surface noise I could without affecting the sound. No "brute force" declickers, here, folks, this is HAND LABOR.
