This was a fundraising event to support the "Save the Heartbeat" organization
to support those who are affected by congenital heart disease (CHD).
In 2017, Michael Anthony lost his two-week-old grandson to the disease,
and ever since, has done his part to help this important organization.

When I heard about this show being held at a small venue in Costa Mesa, CA, I made arrangements to go there.
It entailed a flight across the country but was worth it.
The backing band was a southern California band called "The Trip" (https://tripband.com/)
who had performed at Michael Anthony's daughter's wedding.
This band features Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal (from Guns n' Roses among others).
Other guests that made appearances on stage were Sammy Hagar, Phil X (Bon Jovi), John 5 (Motley Crue),
Drummer Tre Cool from Green Day, and drummer Marco Minnemann.
The event featured two auctions in between sets.
For the second auction, I noticed my batteries had less charge than I would have liked,
so I opted to shut off the deck and used my iPhone to record this section to save battery life for the other sets.
Please do not sell this recording (I'm looking at you "rockin` concerts").
