Jan 8-9 1971

Dylan tries to correct a magazine article before publication and generally tries to reign

in his most active critic at the time.

The first short call was on a Friday. Dylan says he'll call back after the weekend but

actually called back the next day. The correct dates were published in the only existing

discography at the time but many years later, someone decided the original discographer

was deaf and stupid, and changed the 2nd date to Monday, though the original dates were

correct.

This is 1st or 2nd gen from the original cassettes.

This was released on a Folkways bootleg (probably incomplete- someone should check).

Folkways discontinued the disk after getting a letter from Dylan's lawyer. Most circulating

copies probably come from that disk.
