This is the 100th post in this series. Thought I should do something special for 100. Looked around to see what I had pulled out of the attic that was special. This tape has
been sitting on the window sill for a bit so I figured it was a good candidate. There has been a lot of Get Back material over the years, and several appearances of the Get
Back Acetate in among them. This post contains RIPs of two different tapes I acquired many moons ago of songs reported to be from the Get back acetate.
The Beatles
Get Back Acetate
NY Radio Station
1969
AT-100A
The first one here identified as simply from a NY radio station, has no radio identification and the way the tracks are laid out I suspect this was a compilation of sorts
from different broadcasts on the station, and not from one strait broadcast. In the middle there is a bit of a country version of Get Back which is not the Beatles and most
certainly has to be at a later date in time. Because there couldn't possibly be a cover version of Get Back in early 1969. And as there are different versions of the same
track I feel this is more likely a later playback of tracks from the acetate mixed with bootleg tracks.
The second one here is from WBAI Long Island NY and contains on brief station ID. It is also obviously not a full acetate as it only contains five songs.
Nothing new or earth shattering here, just an interesting bit of Beatle history.
Enjoy!

This is part of the Atlasstar Attic Treasures Series. My attic consists of thousands of cassettes collected since the 70's. I will post them in no particular order as I pull
them out of the attic and convert to digital. Some of these artists I know well and collect myself, other I know little about just picked up along the way. I will provide as
much info as I can but if anyone can add any insight to the recordings it would be appreciated. If the same recording is circulating in better quality please let me know as
I have no intention of polluting the trading pool.
