Istanbul is becoming a stop on a lot of tours now and there's not much represented on Dime. I thought I'd pick up the slack. This festival was a two-day fest on the grounds on an old and beautifully restored power station along the edge of the Golden Horn in Istanbul. It was a lot of fun. The other bands on Saturday were The Happy Mondays, and Manic Street Preachers. Sunday was Cake, Editors, and Suede.

I decided I would try to tape the shows and borrowed a friend's Mikey microphone for the ipod. I put it on top of an 8 foot perimeter wall aimed right at the stage left stacks.

If anyone's interested in Cake, I can up that too. Happy Mondays are on the way. The Preachers will need some editing I'm afraid.
