I re-transferred the tapes recently and it came out better this time.

back in the USA again after their hugely popular Japanese tour that produced the live "Lotus" album

50 years ago this weekend. this time there's a ticket stub and ad for the show included.

This is probably within less than a minute of complete, but not sure,

sometimes Santana just won't stop playing. they did 5 encores when I saw them in 82.

Here, they just do 1 (on this tape but it lasts almost as long as the 5 I saw

because this encore is Neshabur (rarely a readers digest number)

This is Santana's tour of "Lotus" (live in Japan disc) recorded live in America,

playing music from their stellar studio release "Caravanserai" would prove to be a major

pinnacle in the career of Carlos Santana and his great band.

the Japanese tour from which the Lotus live album set came from

began on june 27, 1973 (wed) in Fukuoka, (1st ever Japanese Santana show)

and wound up in Sapporo on July 11 before they went to Honk Kong.

their Pacific tour wound up aug. 8 in Christchurch, New Zealand

and this is their 1st show after that, back in the USA.
