This is an exceptionally high quality recording.
It sounds just right...all the instrumentation is clear, great dynamics - an ideal recording for the
'official standard only' downloader, really.
It's also surprising how many great performances Iggy can turn in...I have to admit I saw him in '96
supporting the Sex Pistols in Finsbury Park. It was good, but for whatever reason it didn't feel as
good as performances I'd seen him do in 1991, 1993 and 1994. Perhaps it was that gig (maybe he felt
he should have been headlining), maybe it was the sound...maybe it was just me. I'm hearing all these
mid 90's gigs and thinking "woah, wish I'd seen more!". Don't get me wrong I've seen Iggy since then
(saw the Stooges play Hammersmith in 2005 and 2010 and loved it!)...and I have some great live
recordings to listen to.
I did notice the track splitting on the CD could have been better in a couple of cases...but, on this
occasion, I felt it wasn't bad, and besides this is the sort of gig best listened in full than cherry
picking favourites anyway.
