My Master Cassette WBCN Boston to CDR
On a very hot day (95+) in Philadelphia I waited with my buddies all day in scorching
heat in the 10th row.AT the same time back in Boston another friend was recording the show for me
on cassette.Sure it's a crappy performance but it was not about that. You had to be there to feel the power
and glory just as the sun went down.Having missed the 1980 Tour this time we would not be denied.

A very enjoyable show definitely. All tracks are sourced from the BBC Radio 1 broadcast of the event Except for track 7 which is the MTV Interview by JJ Jackson and is a lower quality than the rest. There is some distortion on the drum intro to Rock And Roll only for about 5 seconds, mainly due to link up problems.Recorded on an Hitachi SR 4010 Radio Receiver with Hitachi D-35s Tape Deck. The audio quality is crystal clear.
ENJOY THE SHOW!!!
On 13 July 1985, Page, Plant and Jones reunited for the Live Aid concert at JFK Stadium, Philadelphia,
playing a short set featuring drummers Tony Thompson and Phil Collins and bassist Paul Martinez.
Collins had contributed to Plant's first two solo albums while Martinez was a member of Plant's group Band of Joy.
The performance was marred by the lack of rehearsal with the two drummers, Page's struggles with an out-of-tune guitar, poorly functioning monitors, and by Plant's hoarse voice.Page described the performance as "pretty shambolic", while Plant characterised it as an "atrocity". The hype for performance was billed as a Led Zeppelin reunion by many reproters, radio DJ's and TV. Introduced on stage as Robert Plant,Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones by Phil Collins, interviewed after as Led Zeppelin. This should have been for Philadelphia what Queen were for London, sadly it wasn't, only 90 minutes rehearsal or something (Jimmy Page(without Phil Collins. They faced criticism when it was revealed they refused permission for their performance to be included on the DVD, which will raise money for Sudan. The members have issued a statement saying the reason was because it had been a "sub-standard" performance.
They have promised to donate money to the charity.

A very enjoyable show definitely.
Never quite understood WHY it wasn't officially released.
The audio quality is excelent.
ENJOY THE SHOW!!!
PS:I don't know the lineage but i can assure you sounds excelent anyway.
I did, however, both frequency and spectral analysis with EAC and it showed me no proof of being lossy sourced.
Only for precaution i also did the MP3 analysis of Traders Little Helper...nothing it is 100 % lossless.
To clarify any doubts you may have here is the Traders Little Helper's report:

Un excelente show definitivamente.
