We had some light wind during Stevie's set, so there is touch of it on the recording,
but its not very audible thanks to the windscreens. Stevie took the stage at 720pm
and finished up shortly before 9pm. Billy then came out at 920pm. This was my first
time seeing Stevie solo and it far exceeded expectations. I have been fortunate
enough to see Fleetwood Mac (twice in 2013 and 2014) and those were great shows,
but her solo set is something entirely different and equally as impressive. Her band
is terrific and I loved how she made some changes to a few songs. The most notable
of the entire performance was the 10 minute "Gold Dust Woman". This was easily the
highlight for me and eclipsed even seeing her perform it with Fleetwood Mac. If you
listen to only one song from this recording, listen to track 12! Stevie is 75 now
and you could not tell from how she sounded. Very strong performance and she made
sure to give both Tom Petty (Free Fallin') and Christine McVie (Landslide) touching
tributes. At the very end, she thanked Taylor Swift for her song, "You're On Your Own,
Kid" for helping her get through the loss of Christine. This was a memorable set, even
tho it did get emotional. Stevie paired with Billy Joel ended up working very well.
Co-headline with Billy Joel [also recorded].
