Notes:
This show has special meaning for me, as it was the first 'rock' concert I ever saw. Special thanks to Simon Funnell of The Genesis Movement for helping me get a copy of this show after all these years.
The levels were very low throughout, and there were four distinct sections of the recording (each with somewhat different sound); d1t01-06, d1t07-10, d1t11-d2t7, and d2t8-10. The second section has the best sound. Because the right channel was lower than the left much of the time, I normalized each channel individually to 95% after removing a click during Abacab (I tried normalizing each track by itself, and each of the four sections by themselves, but this seemed to work best).
At same points, it appears the recording switches to dual mono (that is, the same waveform on both the left and right channels).
The recording has hiss running throughout, especially noticeable during quieter parts and when you turn the volume up. I tried using some plug-ins to reduce or eliminate the hiss, but they ended up cutting out too much of the range of the music--already a little distant in the cavernous Dodger Stadium--so I decided to leave it as is.
The taper and people around him are quite audible at times, but nothing too bad.
There were a few cuts and tape flips, and I fixed as much as I could with some crossfades and such.
I wish I could have done more, but I'd say the recording went from a B- to a B+ because of the level adjustments (you can actually hear it now) and the edits to some of the cuts and such.
