Arguably, one of the most violent shows to ever hit Chicago. Anyone that has been to the Aragon Ballroom knows its dimensions, and anyone that was at this show can tell you how the entire floor turned into one massive pit that even Wacken couldn't handle. I got my nose broken, a black eye and two jammed fingers that still act up to this day, and to say it was worth it is an understatement. At one point Tom Araya looked out over all of us and mouthed, "Holy shit!" It was one hell of a show that gave the Aragon its adopted moniker of "Aragon Brawlroom."
Again, I wish the sound was better with this one, but I'll be honest and say I'm surprised any recording survived that show at all. This is the only source I know of after 34-years, so it's what it is, warts and all. More a historical document these days than anything, it's a Slayer freak's welcome addition. It also runs a bit slow.
Enjoy. More Chicago-area shows to come along the way.
